Robert Bunkin Curates and Exhibits in Jenny Tango at 100

Personaland artist, Artist Talks Lead, and Core Group member Robert Bunkin has curated and is exhibiting in the show Jenny Tango at 100: A retrospective including works by Robert Bunkin and Susan Grabel. Born Florence Schoenbaum in Brooklyn, Jenny Tango (1926– ) is a painter, educator, filmmaker, and feminist whose career has spanned more than seven decades. A pioneering artist known for her expressive figurative paintings and self-portraits, she challenged gender barriers in the art world while teaching generations of students and exploring media ranging from animation and artist's books to comics and sculpture. Throughout her life, Tango has remained committed to experimentation, political engagement, and the human figure, creating a body of work distinguished by its originality, wit, and emotional depth. 

This exhibition also includes portraits of Tango by her longtime partner Robert Bunkin and collaborative works created with sculptor Susan Grabel.
