I have been sewing since I was a young teenager, but was always breaking the rules and morphing patterns into my own vision. When I began quilting this allowed me to play with fabric in combinations of my own creation. Watching my husband create beautiful plein air oil paintings made me want to also capture the landscape in my own way so I brought my fabric outside and began cutting shapes and pinning them together to capture what I saw. I have also made portrait quilts of my grandchildren. I look forward to where my fabric and creative journey will lead me next.
