Swimming in the sea
and running on the track
and biking down the lane
of secondary emotions
this morning, I stood
in the kitchen peeling
a mandarin while my eyes
prickled and my tear ducts
dilated and broke the dikes
of perturbation, pique, guilt
and aggravation and flooded
the whole system with blurry
love.
